A Grand Stairway
Shepard Hall, the largest building and the centerpiece of the City University of New York, in NYC contains what is referred to as the Great Hall. Modeled after a Gothic cathedral, Shepard houses a large chapel assembly area called the Great Hall which contains a mural painted by Edwin Blashfield called "The Graduate,” as well as a stage that is flanked by two sets of stairs that have deteriorated over the years.
DeSantana was awarded the contract for replacing the Lagos Azul stone treads in the Great Hall and was thrilled to be a part of the restoration of this amazing architectural structure that has both historical and community significance.
